Fundraisers

ONCE a year we will have Shred-it come to Benson's Walmart parking lot to shred your papers.  FEBRUARY 18, 2012

Consumer fraud and identity theft are becoming an epidemic in our communities. To raise awareness and to promote prevention, Shred-it organizes Community Shred-it™ events in the cities where we have a presence, to offer paper shredding services for residents.

These community shredding events give individuals the opportunity to have their confidential documents destroyed on site, free of charge. Whether it is small business documents you no longer need or personal papers you want to safely dispose of, Shred-it’s trucks contain cutting-edge proprietary paper shredding technology that can handle the job.

Held in both public and private places such as police stations and shopping center parking lots, Community Shred-it events vary in size and in scope. Shred-it has been known to serve as many as 2,000 community members at one community shredding event, with more than 70 tons of paper recycled.

Our mobile shredding trucks arrive at the location of the community shredding event, and residents bring their important documents to us for destruction. The same secure, compliant destruction method delivered to our many customers on a global level are delivered to residents on a community level. It’s an event that brings people together to learn about information security and the importance of document destruction.

So what’s in it for us, you ask? The answer is simple. Community Shred-it events increase the knowledge of identity theft, making our communities safer places to live. Generating goodwill with potential new clients and strengthening existing customer relationships also makes good business sense.

Tip a Cop benefits Shop with a Cop

Coming Soon. A local restaurant will host Tip a Cop benefitting Shop with a Cop. The officers will "play" waiters and waitresses that the patron will tip, and along with a percentage of the nights profits, this money will help send youth shopping with their escorted officer to Walmart in December.
BAKE SALE
A bake sale is being talked about, there are so many wonderful bakers in our community, would you like to show your wares- and have the proceeds help yet another child go shopping?

Donations

An account at Southern Arizona Federal Credit Union has been set up to accept donations; checks are to be made out to BSWACP. The account number is 28194.

Fundraiser Ideas Needed~

We would love to hear your creative ideas for fundraisers.
Would your business like to demonstrate a great way of being involved in the community andhave fun while knowing proceeds could give a child (or more) a gift. Why not suggest a white elephant silent auction of donated items- from your home, and maybe your company will match total proceeds from the day.
